Name (IGN): SRG SGT Korpart
In-game Playtime (You can check this in the the top right): 1D 2H 32M
What faction do you want to help:
SRG
Why should we choose you to become an Officer (50 words minimum):
Although I haven't been here for as long as other members, I believe that my long history in various different RPs makes up for it! I have had an extensive history with Gmod, and more specifically MilRP and PoliceRP. This has allowed me to explore many different servers, and understand what works and what doesn't in a branch in terms of player retention, culture, and trajectory!
Some examples of my history include (
All shut-down servers, don't worry
):
- Icefuse Networks Military RP:
Insurgent Army DaGl (Colonel), US Army Delta Force Demolitionist, Katibat-Al-Tahrir Special Applications Unit
- Civant Gaming/Parador Police RP:
SWAT Commander, FBI Director
- Atlas Uprising SCP RP:
Epsilon 6: Village Idiots SGM/Explosive Specialist Squad Lead, Chaos Insurgency SGT
And a whole host of others I legally cannot disclose as they are still active

What makes you better than any other Officer/player (50 words minimum):
1) One of the key points is that I'm fairly active. Being on the west coast, my hours allow me to stay up later than most, usually after prime time for the day had passed. Although not too big of an advantage, it gives me the opportunity to engage with those who tend to stay up later, and/or those who don't leave directly after a war has concluded...
2) Secondly, I have goals in mind for the future of SRG. Such as:
- As of now, SRG is the main branch that comprises the "SRG-side", with Vega, 72nd, and 63rd making appearances here and there. One issue that I've been noticing is the lack of consistency in the player base, with it either flickering between very active, and completely outnumbered. One of the main goals that I have, in the event that I do obtain this position, is to start focusing on people and their needs, whether that be tryouts, promotions, creating a sense of community, or just plain ol' roleplay and reasons to stay other than
just war.
- I want to build up relations with other branches. As an entire team, I feel like each individual branch has no "unity" behind it. Especially being the biggest branch of the server, apart from NATO, it's important to get people from all branches cooperating in wars, roleplay/gamemaster events, etc. Without cooperation, we might as well just be separate factions!
Teamwork, yay!
3) And finally, I'm just a cool person! I'm kind, chillax,
sick at combat, and overall love to get to know people better!
How much time can you dedicate to the server:
~1-5 hours per day (As well as through the startup of school in September again)
Lastly, what do you think can help the server:
I believe that player retention is a really big part that's keeping the server from excelling. With many people popping in once in a while to do combat, there isn't a big "hey, stay here because (reasons X, Y, Z)!" message for many of the new players. Finding a way to change that will drastically help with the population issue in my eyes!
